Dustie Houchin. MBA. PGCertHE. PG.SPOP. BSc.Hons.Ost.

Senior Osteopath | Paediatric osteopath | strategic intervention consultant | Speaker | Writer

Dustie brings more than three decades of experience in health, movement and wellbeing to her clinical work. Her approach is thoughtful, practical and grounded in a clear understanding of how physical health, stress and day-to-day demands can affect the way people feel and function.

She trained initially as a Sports Therapist before qualifying as an osteopath from the British School of Osteopathy in 1998. Since then, she has continued to develop her expertise through postgraduate study, including paediatric osteopathy, animal osteopathy and higher education.

Alongside clinical practice, Dustie has held roles as a speaker, lecturer and examiner in osteopathy since 2012. This breadth of experience informs a measured, highly considered approach to her clinical work, with an emphasis on helping clients understand their bodies and make confident, informed decisions about their life.

Clients value Dustie’s ability to combine professional depth with warmth, clarity and discretion. Her work is particularly suited to those looking for individualised approach from an experienced practitioner who takes the time to listen, and will formulate a plan that empowers the client and encourages long-term change.

At the heart of her osteopathic work is a simple principle: Make the right choices, understand the path ahead, and take purposeful action.

This perspective has influenced Dustie’s development of the Emotional Reset Framework — an approach that recognises that lasting change is easier when both the body and mind are given the opportunity to stop and regulate. Something many allow.

Clinically, Dustie has a particular interest in working with clients who are committed to improving their overall health and wellbeing, and are ready to take positive action to help themselves.

Dustie may also incorporate Strategic Intervention alongside osteopathic care to help clients address both the physical and emotional factors influencing performance.

Her approach is thoughtful and highly individualised. She works collaboratively with clients, providing the space, support and practical guidance needed to help them move from where they are to where they want to be.

Outside clinical and coaching practice, Dustie is the Executive Director of Herdwick & Goose Limited. She works with practitioners and practice owners to attain excellence in their businesses. Through self-awareness, better communications, and stronger decision-making abilities. Her approach helps practitioners to overcome limiting beliefs, and operational obstacles to achieve sustainable growth. For more information email: hello@dustiehouchin.com
